How to get to Mykonos- useful information
By boat from Piraeus
Daily, there are passengers- vehicles boats and speedboats, which depart from the port of Piraeus and arrive to Mykonos. Mykonos is 94 nautical miles southeast from Piraeus. The journey by boat is approximately 5 hours and the most usual route is: Syros-Tinos-Mykonos. The journey by speedboat is about 3 hours with a variety of routes. The speed boats return in the afternoon to Piraeus and depart again in the afternoon, 16:30-17:00.
By boat from Rafina
Daily, there are passenger's and vehicle's boats, which depart from the port of Rafina with destination the islands of Andros, Tinos and Mykonos.
The small speed boats, which transport only passengers and not vehicles, run two trips per day during the summer months and in less than 2.5 hours you can reach the old port of Mykonos. Mykonos is 74 nautical miles southeast away from Rafina.
By airplane from "El. Venizelos" airport
There are two greek airlines which run daily flights to the island of Mykonos. During the summer the scheduled flights are a lot and Mykonos airport receives also charter flights from abroad. Mykonos airport is 4 km away from Mykonos Town and there is a taxi point right outside the airport.
